Our dental team is here to help when an emergency happens. Dental emergencies can cause a lot of pain and discomfort, and we understand the urgency — when you encounter one, call us immediately and we’ll get you seen as quickly as possible, with same-day appointments available.
And if you’re not in pain but still have a dental issue — a cracked tooth, broken dentures, a lost filling — don’t wait either. Schedule an appointment so our experienced team can evaluate the situation before it becomes an emergency.
Do I need emergency dentistry?
Call us right away for any of these:
- Toothache — you’ve brushed, rinsed, and flossed, and it still hurts
- Tooth knocked out
- Abscess
- Chipped or broken teeth — if the chip is significant, the tooth is cracked, or the tooth is in pieces
- Loose tooth
- Lost filling or crown
- Gum, tongue, or cheek injuries — if the bleeding will not stop
- Broken bracket or wire / loose braces — call your orthodontist immediately
How to avoid dental emergencies
Accidents are unplanned, and therefore hard to prepare for. The best way to stay ahead of a dental emergency is prevention: schedule regular exams every six months and keep up a good oral hygiene routine. Brush at least twice a day, floss once a day, and avoid brittle foods like hard candy that can damage your teeth.

Can I really be seen the same day?
Yes — same-day emergency appointments are what this page exists for. Call 972-530-8800, tell us it's an emergency, and we'll get you in as quickly as possible. We're open six days a week, including Saturdays.
My tooth got knocked out. What do I do right now?
Pick it up by the crown (not the root), keep it moist — in milk, or tucked inside your cheek if you can do that safely — and call us immediately. The faster a knocked-out tooth is treated, the better its chances.
Is my problem actually an emergency?
If you're in pain, bleeding won't stop, a tooth is loose, knocked out, or broken, or you have swelling that could be an abscess — treat it as an emergency and call. If you're not in pain (a lost filling, a chipped tooth), book promptly so it doesn't become one.
What will an emergency visit cost?
The exam and X-rays needed to diagnose the problem come first, and we tell you the cost of any treatment before we do it. Cherry financing can split larger treatment into monthly payments, and our savings plan includes a limited emergency exam.
Do you see emergencies on weekends?
We're open Saturdays from 8am to 2pm and hold same-day slots for emergencies. Outside our hours, call anyway and follow the instructions on our line — and for uncontrolled bleeding, facial trauma, or swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, go to the emergency room first.
